I have come in My Father’s Name and you do not receive Me, if another comes in his own name, him you would receive
and he said, “See that you are not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, ‘I am,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Then do not go after them
For many shall come in my name, saying, ‘I am the messiah,’ and they shall lead many astray.
And whatever you ask in my name, that I shall do, in order that the Father might be esteemed in the son.
If you ask whatever in my name, I shall do it.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name He might give you
23 And in that day you shall ask me none at all. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name He shall give you.
24 “Until now you have asked naught in my name. Ask, and you shall receive, in order that your joy might be complete.
25 “These words I have spoken to you in figures of speech, but an hour is coming when I shall no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but I shall declare the Father plainly to you.
26 “In that day you shall ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father on your behalf,
27 for the Father Himself does love you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from Elohim.
But the helper, the set-apart spirit, whom the Father shall send in my name, he shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you.
And this is the boldness that we have in Him, that if we ask whatever according to His desire, He hears us.
And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we guard His commands and do what is pleasing in His sight.
25 Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you shall eat or drink, or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than the food and the body more than the clothing?
26 “Look at the birds of the heaven, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into storehouses, yet your heavenly Father does feed them. Are you not worth more than they?
27 “And which of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his life’s span?
:28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Note well the lilies of the field, how they grow. They neither toil nor spin,
29 and I say to you that even Shelomoh in all his esteem was not dressed like one of these.
30 “But if Elohim so clothes the grass of the field, which exists today, and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little belief?
31 “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 “For all these the gentiles seek for. And your heavenly Father knows that you need all these.
33 “But seek first the reign of Elohim, and His righteousness, and all these matters shall be added to you.
34 “Do not, then, worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow shall have its own worries. Each day has enough evil of itself.
3 And Shelomoh loved יהוה, walking in the laws of his father Dawiḏ, except that he slaughtered and burned incense at the high places.
4 And the sovereign went to Gibʽon to slaughter there, for that was the great high place. Shelomoh offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.
5 At Gibʽon יהוה appeared to Shelomoh in a dream by night, and Elohim said, “Ask what I should give you.”
6 And Shelomoh said, “You have shown great kindness to your servant Dawiḏ my father, as he walked before You in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You. And You have guarded for him this great kindness, and did give him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
7 “And now, O יהוה my Elohim, You have set up Your servant to reign instead of my father Dawiḏ. But I am a little child, I do not know how to go out or to come in.
8 “And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.
9 “Shall You then give to Your servant an understanding heart to rule Your people, to discern between good and evil? For who is able to rule this great people of Yours?”
10 And the word was good in the eyes of יהוה, that Shelomoh had asked this.
11 So Elohim said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand right-ruling,
12 see, I shall do according to your words. See, I shall give you a wise and understanding heart, so that there was none like you before you, and none like you shall arise after you.
13 “And I shall also give you what you have not asked: both riches and esteem, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the sovereigns all your days.
14 “And if you walk in My ways, to guard My laws and My commands, as your father Dawiḏ walked, then I shall prolong your days.”
2 You desire, and do not have. You murder, and are jealous, and are unable to obtain. You strive and fight, and you do not possess, because you do not ask.
3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask evilly, in order to spend it on your pleasures.
1 Look, the hand of יהוה has not become too short to save, nor His ear too heavy to hear.
2 But your crookednesses have separated you from your Elohim. And your sins have hidden His face from you, from hearing.
3 For your hands have been defiled with blood, and your fingers with crookedness; your lips have spoken falsehood, your tongue mutters unrighteousness.
9 They do no evil nor destroy in all My set-apart mountain, for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of יהוה as the waters cover the sea1.
10 And in that day there shall be a Root of Yishai, standing as a banner to the people. Unto him the gentiles shall seek, and his rest shall be esteem.
11 And it shall be in that day that יהוה sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ěylam and from Shinʽar, from Ḥamath and from the islands of the sea.
18 ‘But if they are prophets, and if the word of יהוה is with them, let them now make intercession to יהוה of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the House of יהוה, and in the house of the sovereign of Yehuḏah, and at Yerushalayim, shall not go to Baḇel.’
1 And it came to be in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth of the month, as I sat in my house with the elders of Yehuḏah sitting before me, that the hand of the Master יהוה fell upon me there.
2 And I looked and saw a likeness, like the appearance of fire. From His waist and downward the appearance was like fire, and from His waist and upward the appearance of brightness, like glowing metal.
3 And He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair. And the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heavens, and brought me in visions of Elohim to Yerushalayim, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which causes jealousy.
4 And see, the esteem of the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain.
5 And He said to me, “Son of man, please lift your eyes toward the north.” And I lifted my eyes northward, and north of the altar gate I saw this image of jealousy in the entrance.
6 And He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations which the house of Yisra’ĕl are doing here, driving Me away from My set-apart place? And you are to see still greater abominations.”
7 Then He brought me to the door of the court. And I looked and saw a hole in the wall.
8 And He said to me, “Son of man, please dig into the wall.” And when I dug into the wall I saw a door.
9 And He said to me, “Go in, and see the evil abominations which they are doing there.”
10 And I went in and looked and saw all kinds of creeping creatures, abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Yisra’ĕl, carved all around on the walls.
11 And facing them stood seventy men of the elders of the house of Yisra’ĕl, and in their midst stood Yaʽazanyahu son of Shaphan. Each one had a censer in his hand, and a thick cloud of incense went up.
12 And He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Yisra’ĕl are doing in the dark, each one in the room of his idols? For they say, ‘יהוה does not see us, יהוה has forsaken the land.’ ”
13 And He said to me, “You are to see still greater abominations which they are doing.”
14 And He brought me to the door of the north gate of the House of יהוה, and I saw women sitting there, weeping for Tammuz.
15 Then He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? You are to see still greater abominations than these.”
16 And He brought me into the inner court of the House of יהוה. And there, at the door of the Hĕḵal of יהוה, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the Hĕḵal of יהוה and their faces toward the east, and they were bowing themselves eastward to the sun.
17 And He said to me, “Have you seen, O son of man? Is it a small matter to the house of Yehuḏah to do the abominations which they have done here? For they have filled the land with violence, and turn back to provoke Me. And see, they are putting the branch to My nose.
18 “Therefore I shall indeed deal in wrath. My eye shall not pardon nor would I spare. And they shall cry in My ears with a loud voice, but I shall not hear them.”
9 “Thus said יהוה of hosts, ‘Execute true right-ruling, show kindness and compassion everyone to his brother.
10 “Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the stranger or the poor. And do not plot evil in your hearts against one another.’
11 “But they refused to listen, and they shrugged their shoulders, and stopped their ears from hearing.
12 “And they made their hearts like flint against hearing the Torah, and the words, which יהוה of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from יהוה of hosts.
13 “And it came to be: as He called and they did not hear, so let them call, but I shall not hear,” said יהוה of hosts.
41 “Then you answered and said to me, ‘We have sinned against יהוה. We ourselves are going up, and we shall fight, as יהוה our Elohim commanded us.’ And when each one of you had girded on his battle gear, you were ready to go up into the mountain.
42 “And יהוה said to me, ‘Say to them, “Do not go up nor fight, for I am not in your midst, lest you be smitten before your enemies.” ’
43 “So I spoke to you, but you would not listen and rebelled against the mouth of יהוה, and acted proudly, and went up into the mountain.
44 “Then the Amorites who dwelt in that mountain came out against you and chased you as bees do, and drove you back from Sĕʽir to Ḥormah.
45 “And you returned and wept before יהוה, but יהוה would not listen to your voice nor give ear to you.
7 “Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.
8 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened.
9 “Or is there a man among you who, if his son asks for bread, shall give him a stone?
10 “Or if he asks for a fish, shall he give him a snake?
26 ‘See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:
27 the blessing, when you obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I command you today;
28 and the curse, if you do not obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other mighty ones which you have not known.
1 “And it shall be, when all these words come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you shall bring them back to your heart among all the gentiles where יהוה your Elohim drives you,
2 and shall turn back to יהוה your Elohim and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your being, you and your children,
3 then יהוה your Elohim shall turn back your captivity, and shall have compassion on you, and He shall turn back and gather you from all the peoples where יהוה your Elohim has scattered you.
4 “If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under the heavens, from there יהוה your Elohim does gather you, and from there He does take you.
5 “And יהוה your Elohim shall bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. And He shall do good to you, and increase you more than your fathers.
6 “And יהוה your Elohim shall circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being, so that you might live,
7 and יהוה your Elohim shall put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.
8 “And you shall turn back and obey the voice of יהוה and do all His commands which I command you today.
