Joshua

23:15

15 “It shall come about that just as all the good words which YHVH your Elohim spoke to you have come upon you, so YHVH will bring upon you all the threats, until He has destroyed you from off this good land which the YHVH your Elohim has given you. [NASB]

Joshua

24:20-22

24 “If you forsake YHVH and serve foreign gods, then He will turn and do you harm and consume you after He has done good to you.” 21 The people said to Joshua, “No, but we will serve YHVH” 22 Joshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen for yourselves YHVH to serve Him.” And they said, “We are witnesses.”[NASB]

Judges

2:14-15

14 “The anger of YHVH burned against Israel, and He gave them into the hands of plunderers who plundered them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies. 15 Wherever they went, the hand of YHVH was against them for evil, as YHVH had spoken and as YHVH had sworn to them, so that they were severely distressed.[NASB]

1 Samuel

2:6-10

6 “YHVH kills and makes alive; He brings down to Sheol and raises up. 7 “YHVH makes poor and rich;He brings low, He also exalts 8 “He raises the poor from the dust,He lifts the needy from the ash heap To make them sit with nobles, And inherit a seat of honor; For the pillars of the earth are YHVH’s, And He set the world on them. 9 “He keeps the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; For not by might shall a man prevail. 10 “Those who contend with YHVH will be shattered; Against them He will thunder in the heavens,YHVH will judge the ends of the earth; And He will give strength to His king, And will exalt the horn of His anointed.”[NASB]

1 Samuel

16:14-23

14 “Now the Spirit of YHVH departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from YHVH terrorized him. 15 Saul’s servants then said to him, “Behold now, an evil spirit from Elohim is terrorizing you. 16“Let our lord now command your servants who are before you. Let them seek a man who is a skillful player on the harp; and it shall come about when the evil spirit from Elohim is on you, that he shall play the harp with his hand, and you will be well.” :17 So Saul said to his servants, “Provide for me now a man who can play well and bring him to me.” 18 Then one of the young men said, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a mighty man of valor, a warrior, one prudent in speech, and a handsome man; and YHVH is with him.”19 So Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, “Send me your son David who is with the flock.” 20 Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread and a jug of wine and a young goat, and sent them to Saul by David his son. 21 Then David came to Saul and attended him; and Saul loved him greatly, and he became his armor bearer. 22 Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Let David now stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.” 23 So it came about whenever the evil spirit from Elohim came to Saul, David would take the harp and play it with his hand; and Saul would be refreshed and be well, and the evil spirit would depart from him.[NASB]

1 Samuel

18:10-11

10 “Now it came about on the next day that an evil spirit from Elohim came mightily upon Saul, and he raved in the midst of the house, while David was playing the harp with his hand, as usual; and a spear was in Saul’s hand. 11 Saul hurled the spear for he thought, “I will pin David to the wall.” But David escaped from his presence twice.[NASB]

1 Samuel

19:9-10

9 “Now there was an evil spirit from YHVH on Saul as he was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand, and David was playing the harp with his hand. 10 Saul tried to pin David to the wall with the spear, but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence, so that he stuck the spear into the wall. And David fled and escaped that night.[NASB]

1 Samuel

28:16

16 Samuel said, “Why then do you ask me, since YHVH has departed from you and has become your adversary?[NASB]

2 Samuel

12:11-12

11 “Thus says YHVH, ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will lie with your wives in broad daylight. 12 ‘Indeed you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and under the sun.’”[NASB]

2 Samuel

22:26-27

26 “With the kind You show Yourself kind, with the blameless You show Yourself blameless; 27 with the pure You show Yourself pure,And with the perverted You show Yourself astute.[NASB]

2 Samuel

24:1

1 “Now again the anger of YHVH burned against Israel, and it incited David against them to say, “Go, number Israel and Judah.”[NASB]

1 Kings

9:9

9 “And they will say, ‘Because they forsook YHVH their Elohim, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and adopted other gods and worshiped them and served them, therefore YHVH has brought all this adversity on them.’”[NASB]

1 Kings

11:14

14 “Then YHVH raised up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite; he was of the royal line in Edom.”[NASB]

1 Kings

11:23-25

23″ Elohim also raised up another adversary to him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah. 24 He gathered men to himself and became leader of a marauding band, after David slew them of Zobah; and they went to Damascus and stayed there, and reigned in Damascus. 25 So he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, along with the evil that Hadad did; and he abhorred Israel and reigned over Aram.”[NASB]

1 Kings

22:17-23

17 “So he said,“I saw all Israel Scattered on the mountains, Like sheep which have no shepherd. And YHVH said, ‘These have no master.Let each of them return to his house in peace.’” 18 Then the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?” 19 Micaiah said, “Therefore, hear the word of YHVH. I saw YHVH sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right and on His left. 20 “YHVH said, ‘Who will entice Ahab to go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said this while another said that. 21 “Then a spirit came forward and stood before YHVH and said, ‘I will entice him.’ 22 “YHVH said to him, ‘How?’ And he said, ‘I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ Then He said, ‘You are to entice him and also prevail. Go and do so.’ 23 “Now therefore, behold, YHVH has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and YHVH has proclaimed disaster against you.”[NASB]

2 Kings

15:37

37 “In those days YHVH began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.”[NASB]

2 Kings

21:10-15

10 “Now YHVH spoke through His servants the prophets, saying, 11 “Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, having done wickedly more than all the Amorites did who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols; 12 therefore thus says YHVH, the Elohimof Israel, ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle. 13 ‘I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. 14 ‘I will abandon the remnant of My inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies, and they will become as plunder and spoil to all their enemies; 15 because they have done evil in My sight, and have been provoking Me to anger since the day their fathers came from Egypt, even to this day.’”[NASB]

2 Kings

22:14-20

14 “So Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Achbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the Second Quarter); and they spoke to her. 15 She said to them, “Thus says YHVH Elohim of Israel, ‘Tell the man who sent you to me, 16 thus says YHVH, “Behold, I bring evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah has read. 17 “Because they have forsaken Me and have burned incense to other gods that they might provoke Me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore My wrath burns against this place, and it shall not be quenched.”’ 18 “But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of YHVH thus shall you say to him, ‘Thus says YHVH Elohim of Israel, “Regarding the words which you have heard, 19 because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before YHVH when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants that they should become a desolation and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before Me, I truly have heard you,” declares YHVH. 20 “Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes will not see all the evil which I will bring on this place.”’” So they brought back word to the king”[NASB]

2 Kings

24:1-4

1 “In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant for three years; then he turned and rebelled against him. 2 YHVH sent against him bands of Chaldeans, bands of Arameans, bands of Moabites, and bands of Ammonites. So He sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of YHVH which He had spoken through His servants the prophets. 3 Surely at the command of YHVH it came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, 4 and also for the innocent blood which he shed, for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; and YHVH would not forgive.” [NASB]

Isaiah

13:3-22

3 “I have commanded My consecrated ones, I have even called My mighty warriors, My proudly exulting ones, To execute My anger. 4 A sound of tumult on the mountains, Like that of many people! A sound of the uproar of kingdoms, Of nations gathered together! YHVH of hosts is mustering the army for battle. 5 They are coming from a far country,From the farthest horizons, YHVH and His instruments of indignation, To destroy the whole land. Judgment on the Day of YHVH. 6 Wail, for the day of YHVH is near! It will come as destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore all hands will fall limp,And every man’s heart will melt. 8 They will be terrified,Pains and anguish will take hold of them; They will writhe like a woman in labor, They will look at one another in astonishment, Their faces aflame. 9 Behold, the day of YHVH is coming, Cruel, with fury and burning anger, To make the land a desolation; And He will exterminate its sinners from it. 10 For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not flash forth their light; The sun will be dark when it rises And the moon will not shed its light. 11 Thus I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless. 12 I will make mortal man scarcer than pure gold And mankind than the gold of Ophir. 13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, And the earth will be shaken from its place At the fury of YHVH of hosts In the day of His burning anger. 14 And it will be that like a hunted gazelle, Or like sheep with none to gather them, They will each turn to his own people, And each one flee to his own land. 15 Anyone who is found will be thrust through,And anyone who is captured will fall by the sword. 16 Their little ones also will be dashed to pieces Before their eyes; Their houses will be plundered And their wives ravished. Babylon Will Fall to the Medes 17 Behold, I am going to stir up the Medes against them,Who will not value silver or take pleasure in gold. 18 And their bows will mow down the young men, They will not even have compassion on the fruit of the womb,Nor will their eye pity children. 19 And Babylon, the beauty of kingdoms, the glory of the Chaldeans’ pride, Will be as when Elohim overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20 It will never be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation; Nor will the Arab pitch his tent there,Nor will shepherds make their flocks lie down there. 21 But desert creatures will lie down there,And their houses will be full of owls; Ostriches also will live there, and shaggy goats will frolic there. 22 Hyenas will howl in their fortified towers And jackals in their luxurious palaces. Her fateful time also will soon come And her days will not be prolonged.” [NASB]

Isaiah

14:22-23

22 “But you said in your heart,‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of Elohim ,And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds I will make myself like the Most High.’ [NASB]

Isaiah

19:13-14

13 “The princes of Zoan have acted foolishly,The princes of Memphis are deluded; Those who are the cornerstone of her tribes Have led Egypt astray. 4 YHVH has mixed within her a spirit of distortion; They have led Egypt astray in all that it does,As a drunken man staggers in his vomit.”[NASB]

Isaiah

19:22

22 “YHVH will strike Egypt, striking but healing; so they will return to YHVH, and He will respond to them and will heal them.”[NASB]

Isaiah

42:24-25

24 “Who gave Jacob up for spoil, and Israel to plunderers? Was it not YHVH, against whom we have sinned, And in whose ways they were not willing to walk, And whose law they did not obey? 25 So He poured out on him the heat of His anger And the fierceness of battle; And it set him aflame all around, Yet he did not recognize it; And it burned him, but he paid no attention.”[NASB]

Isaiah

45:5-7

5 “I am YHVH , and there is no other ;Besides Me there is no Elohim. I will gird you, though you have not known Me; 6 That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is no one besides Me. I am YHVH, and there is no other, 7 The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am YHVH who does all these.”[NASB]

Isaiah

63:10

10 But they rebelled And grieved His Holy Spirit;

Therefore He turned Himself to become their enemy,

He fought against them.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

4:3-18

3 For thus says YHVH to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem,“Break up your fallow ground,And do not sow among thorns. 4 “Circumcise yourselves to YHVH And remove the foreskins of your heart, Men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Or else My wrath will go forth like fire And burn with none to quench it, Because of the evil of your deeds.” 5 Declare in Judah and proclaim in Jerusalem, and say, “Blow the trumpet in the land; Cry aloud and say, ‘Assemble yourselves, and let us go Into the fortified cities.’ 6 “Lift up a standard toward Zion! Seek refuge, do not stand still, For I am bringing evil from the north, And great destruction. 7 “A lion has gone up from his thicket, And a destroyer of nations has set out; He has gone out from his place To make your land a waste. Your cities will be ruins Without inhabitant. 8 “For this, put on sackcloth,Lament and wail; For the fierce anger of YHVH Has not turned back from us.” 9 “It shall come about in that day,” declares YHVH, “that the heart of the king and the heart of the princes will fail; and the priests will be appalled and the prophets will be astounded.” 10 Then I said, “Ah, YHVH Elohim! Surely You have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, ‘You will have peace’; whereas a sword touches the throat.” 11 In that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, “A scorching wind from the bare heights in the wilderness in the direction of the daughter of My people—not to winnow and not to cleanse, 12 a wind too strong for this—will come at My command; now I will also pronounce judgments against them. 13 “Behold, he goes up like clouds,And his chariots like the whirlwind; His horses are swifter than eagles.Woe to us, for we are ruined!” 14 Wash your heart from evil, O Jerusalem,That you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts Lodge within you? 15 For a voice declares from Dan, And proclaims wickedness from Mount Ephraim. 16 Report it to the nations, now! Proclaim over Jerusalem, ‘Besiegers come from a far country, And lift their voices against the cities of Judah. 17 ‘Like watchmen of a field they are against her round about, Because she has rebelled against Me,’ declares YHVH. 18 “Your ways and your deeds Have  brought these things to you. This is your evil. How bitter! How it has touched your heart!”[NASB]

Jeremiah

5:11-19

11 “For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously with Me,” declares YHVH.

12 They have lied about YHVH And said, “Not He; Misfortune will not come on us, and we will not see sword or famine. 13 “The prophets are as wind, and the word is not in them. Thus it will be done to them!” Judgment Proclaimed 14 Therefore, thus says YHVH, the Elohim of hosts, “Because you have spoken this word, Behold, I am making My words in your mouth fire and this people wood, and it will consume them. 15 “Behold, I am bringing a nation against you from afar, O house of Israel,” declares YHVH. “It is an enduring nation, It is an ancient nation, A nation whose language you do not know, Nor can you understand what they say. 16 “Their quiver is like an open grave, All of them are mighty men. 17 “They will devour your harvest and your food; They will devour your sons and your daughters; They will devour your flocks and your herds; They will devour your vines and your fig trees; They will demolish with the sword your fortified cities in which you trust. 18 “Yet even in those days,” declares YHVH, “I will not make you a complete destruction. 19 “It shall come about when they say, ‘Why has YHVH our Elohim done all these things to us?’ then you shall say to them, ‘As you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’[NASB]

Jeremiah

6:10-19

10 To whom shall I speak and give warning that they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed and they cannot listen. Behold, the word of YHVH has become a reproach to them; They have no delight in it. 11 But I am full of the wrath of YHVH; I am weary with holding it in. “Pour it out on the children in the street and on the  gathering of young men together; For both husband and wife shall be taken, The aged and the very old. 12 “Their houses shall be turned over to others, Their fields and their wives together; for I will stretch out My hand against the inhabitants of the land,” declares YHVH. 13 “For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for gain, and from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely. 14 “They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, Saying, ‘Peace, peace,’But there is no peace. 15 “Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done? They were not even ashamed at all; They did not even know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them, they shall be cast down,” says YHVH. 16 Thus says YHVH,“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths,Where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ 17“And I set watchmen over you, saying,‘ Listen to the sound of the trumpet! ’But they said, ‘We will not listen.’ 18 “Therefore hear, O nations,And know, O congregation, what is among them. 19 “Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people the fruit of their plans, because they have not listened to My words, and as for My law, they have rejected it also.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

7:17-20

17 “Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 18 “The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods in order to spite Me. 19 “Do they spite Me?” declares YHVH. “Is it not themselves they spite, to their own shame?” 20 Therefore thus says YHVH Elohim, “Behold, My anger and My wrath will be poured out on this place, on man and on beast and on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and not be quenched.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

8:8-17

8 “How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the law of YHVH is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. 9 “The wise men are put to shame, They are dismayed and caught; Behold, they have rejected the word of YHVH, and what kind of wisdom do they have? 10 “Therefore I will give their wives to others,Their fields to new owners; because from the least even to the greatest everyone is greedy for gain; from the prophet even to the priest everyone practices deceit. 11 “They heal the brokenness of the daughter of My people superficially, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’But there is no peace. 12 “Were they ashamed because of the abomination they had done? They certainly were not ashamed, and they did not know how to blush; therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time of their punishment they shall be brought down,”Says YHVH. 13 “I will surely snatch them away,” declares YHVH; “There will be no grapes on the vine and no figs on the fig tree, and the leaf will wither; and what I have given them will pass away.”’14 Why are we sitting still? Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the fortified cities and let us perish there ,because YHVH our Elohim has doomed us and given us poisoned water to drink, for we have sinned against YHVH. 15 We waited for peace, but no good came; for a time of healing, but behold, terror! 16 From Dan is heard the snorting of his horses; at the sound of the neighing of his stallions the whole land quakes; for they come and devour the land and its fullness, the city and its inhabitants. 17 “For behold, I am sending serpents against you, adders, for which there is no charm, and they will bite you,” declares YHVH.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

9:13-15

13 YHVH said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice nor walked according to it, 14 but have walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them,” 15 therefore thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “behold, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

11:7-23

7 ‘For I solemnly warned your fathers in the day that I brought them up from the land of Egypt, even to this day, warning persistently, saying, “Listen to My voice.” 8 ‘Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked, each one, in the stubbornness of his evil heart; therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not.’” 9 Then YHVH said to me, “A conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 “They have turned back to the iniquities of their ancestors who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers.” 11 Therefore thus says YHVH, “Behold I am bringing disaster on them which they will not be able to escape; though they will cry to Me, yet I will not listen to them. 12 “Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to whom they burn incense, but they surely will not save them in the time of their disaster. 13 “For your gods are as many as your cities, O Judah; and as many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to the shameful thing, altars to burn incense to Baal. 14 “Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them; for I will not listen when they call to Me because of their disaster. 15 “What right has My beloved in My house when she has done many vile deeds? Can the sacrificial flesh take away from you your disaster, so that you can rejoice?” 16 YHVH called your name, “A green olive tree, beautiful in fruit and form”; With the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire on it,And its branches are worthless. 17 YHVH of hosts, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me by offering up sacrifices to Baal. Plots against Jeremiah. 18 Moreover, YHVH made it known to me and I knew it; then You showed me their deeds. 19 But I was like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter; and I did not know that they had devised plots against me, saying,“Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name be remembered no more.” 20 But, O YHVH of hosts, who judges righteously, who tries the feelings and the heart, let me see Your vengeance on them, for to You have I committed my cause. 21 Therefore thus says YHVH concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying, “Do not prophesy in the name of YHVH, so that you will not die at our hand”; 22 therefore, thus says YHVH of hosts, “Behold, I am about to punish them! The young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine; 23 and a remnant will not be left to them, for I will bring disaster on the men of Anathoth—the year of their punishment.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

13:13-16

13 then say to them, ‘Thus says YHVH, “Behold I am about to fill all the inhabitants of this land—the kings that sit for David on his throne, the priests, the prophets and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem—with drunkenness! 14 “I will dash them against each other, both the fathers and the sons together,” declares YHVH. “I will not show pity nor be sorry nor have compassion so as not to destroy them.”’ 15 Listen and give heed, do not be haughty, for YHVH has spoken. 16 Give glory to YHVH your Elohim, before He brings darkness and before your feet stumble on the dusky mountains, and while you are hoping for light He makes it into deep darkness, and turns it into gloom.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

14:14-16

14 Then YHVH said to me, “The prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name. I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds. 15“ Therefore thus says YHVH concerning the prophets who are prophesying in My name, although it was not I who sent them—yet they keep saying, ‘There will be no sword or famine in this land’—by sword and famine those prophets shall meet their end! 16 “The people also to whom they are prophesying will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and there will be no one to bury them—neither them, nor their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters—for I will pour out their own wickedness on them.[NASB]

Jeremiah

15:6-8

6 “You who have forsaken Me,” declares YHVH “You keep going backward. So I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you; I am tired of relenting! 7 “I will winnow them with a winnowing fork at the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy My people; They did not repent of their ways. 8 “Their widows will be more numerous before Me than the sand of the seas; I will bring against them, against the mother of a young man, A destroyer at noonday;I will suddenly bring down on her anguish and dismay.[NASB]

Jeremiah

16:10-13

10 “Now when you tell this people all these words, they will say to you, ‘For what reason has YHVH declared all this great calamity against us? And what is our iniquity, or what is our sin which we have committed against YHVH our Elohim?’ 11 “Then you are to say to them, ‘It is because your forefathers have forsaken Me,’ declares YHVH, ‘and have followed other gods and served them and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law. 12 ‘You too have done evil, even more than your forefathers; for behold, you are each one walking according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me. 13 ‘So I will hurl you out of this land into the land which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there you will serve other gods day and night, for I will grant you no favor.’[NASB]

Jeremiah

17:7-11

7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in YHVH and whose trust is YHVH. 8 “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. 9 “The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick;Who can understand it? 10 “I, YHVH, search the heart,I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds. 11“ As a partridge that hatches eggs which it has not laid, so is he who makes a fortune, but unjustly; In the midst of his days it will forsake him, and in the end he will be a fool.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

17:17-18

17 Do not be a terror to me;You are my refuge in the day of disaster. 18 Let those who persecute me be put to shame, but as for me, let me not be put to shame; let them be dismayed, but let me not be dismayed. Bring on them a day of disaster, and crush them with twofold destruction![NASB]

Jeremiah

19:1-15

1 Thus says YHVH, “Go and buy a potter’s earthenware jar, and take some of the elders of the people and some of the senior priests. 2 “Then go out to the valley of Ben-hinnom, which is by the entrance of the potsherd gate, and proclaim there the words that I tell you, 3 and say, ‘Hear the word of YHVH, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “Behold I am about to bring a calamity upon this place, at which the ears of everyone that hears of it will tingle. 4 “Because they have forsaken Me and have made this an alien place and have burned sacrifices in it to other gods, that neither they nor their forefathers nor the kings of Judah had ever known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent 5 and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind; 6 therefore, behold, days are coming,” declares YHVH, “when this place will no longer be called Topheth or the valley of Ben-hinnom, but rather the valley of Slaughter. 7 “I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies and by the hand of those who seek their life; and I will give over their carcasses as food for the birds of the sky and the beasts of the earth. 8 “I will also make this city a desolation and an object of hissing; everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss because of all its disasters. 9 “I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they will eat one another’s flesh in the siege and in the distress with which their enemies and those who seek their life will distress them.”’ 10 “Then you are to break the jar in the sight of the men who accompany you 11 and say to them, ‘Thus says YHVH of hosts, “Just so will I break this people and this city, even as one breaks a potter’s vessel, which cannot again be repaired; and they will bury in Topheth because there is no other place for burial. 12 “This is how I will treat this place and its inhabitants,” declares YHVH, “so as to make this city like Topheth. 13 “The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah will be defiled like the place Topheth, because of all the houses on whose rooftops they burned sacrifices to all the heavenly host and poured out drink offerings to other gods.” 14 Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where YHVH had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of YHVH’s house and said to all the people: 15 “Thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, ‘Behold, I am about to bring on this city and all its towns the entire calamity that I have declared against it, because they have stiffened their necks so as not to heed My words.’”[NASB]

Jeremiah

21:8-10

8 “You shall also say to this people, ‘Thus says YHVH, “Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. 9 “He who dwells in this city will die by the sword and by famine and by pestilence; but he who goes out and falls away to the Chaldeans who are besieging you will live, and he will have his own life as booty. 10 “For I have set My face against this city for harm and not for good,” declares YHVH. “It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire.”’[NASB]

Jeremiah

23:12

“Therefore their way will be like slippery paths to them,

They will be driven away into the gloom and fall down in it; for I will bring calamity upon them, the year of their punishment,” declares YHVH.[NASB]

Jeremiah

25:4-7

“And YHVH has sent to you all His servants the prophets again and again, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear, saying, ‘Turn now everyone from his evil way and from the evil of your deeds, and dwell on the land which YHVH has given to you and your forefathers forever and ever; 6 and do not go after other gods to serve them and to worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, and I will do you no harm.’ 7 “Yet you have not listened to Me,” declares YHVH, “in order that you might provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm.[NASB]

Jeremiah

25:29

29 “For behold, I am beginning to work calamity in this city which is called by My name, and shall you be completely free from punishment? You will not be free from punishment; for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth,” declares YHVH of hosts.’[NASB]

Jeremiah

26:3

3 ‘Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the calamity which I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds.’[NASB]

Jeremiah

32:22-23

22 and gave them this land, which You swore to their forefathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey. 23 ‘They came in and took possession of it, but they did not obey Your voice or walk in Your law; they have done nothing of all that You commanded them to do; therefore You have made all this calamity come upon them.[NASB]

Jeremiah

32:42

42 “For thus says YHVH, ‘Just as I brought all this great disaster on this people, so I am going to bring on them all the good that I am promising them.[NASB]

Jeremiah

35:16-17

16 ‘Indeed, the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have observed the command of their father which he commanded them, but this people has not listened to Me.’”’ 17 “Therefore thus says YHVH, the Elohim of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, ‘Behold, I am bringing on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the disaster that I have pronounced against them; because I spoke to them but they did not listen, and I have called them but they did not answer.’”[NASB]

Jeremiah

36:2-3

2 “Take a scroll and write on it all the words which I have spoken to you concerning Israel and concerning Judah, and concerning all the nations, from the day I first spoke to you, from the days of Josiah, even to this day. 3 “Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the calamity which I plan to bring on them, in order that every man will turn from his evil way; then I will forgive their iniquity and their sin.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

36:31

31 “I will also punish him and his descendants and his servants for their iniquity, and I will bring on them and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the men of Judah all the calamity that I have declared to them—but they did not listen.”’”[NASB]

Jeremiah

39:15-18

15 Now the word of YHVH had come to Jeremiah while he was confined in the court of the guardhouse, saying, 16 “Go and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, ‘Thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “Behold, I am about to bring My words on this city for disaster and not for prosperity; and they will take place before you on that day. 17 “But I will deliver you on that day,” declares YHVH, “and you will not be given into the hand of the men whom you dread. 18“For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me,” declares YHVH’”[NASB]

Jeremiah

40:2-3

2 Now the captain of the bodyguard had taken Jeremiah and said to him, “YHVH your Elohim promised this calamity against this place; 3 and YHVH has brought it on and done just as He promised. Because you people sinned against YHVHand did not listen to His voice, therefore this thing has happened to you.[NASB]

Jeremiah

42:8-18

8 Then he called for Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces that were with him, and for all the people both small and great, 9 and said to them, “Thus says YHVH the Elohim of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your petition before Him: ‘If you will indeed stay in this land, then I will build you up and not tear you down, and I will plant you and not uproot you; for I will relent concerning the calamity that I have inflicted on you. 11 ‘Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you are now fearing; do not be afraid of him,’ declares YHVH, ‘for I am with you to save you and deliver you from his hand. 12 ‘I will also show you compassion, so that he will have compassion on you and restore you to your own soil. 13 ‘But if you are going to say, “We will not stay in this land,” so as not to listen to the voice of YHVH your Elohim, 14 saying, “No, but we will go to the land of Egypt, where we will not see war or hear the sound of a trumpet or hunger for bread, and we will stay there”; 15 then in that case listen to the word of YHVH, O remnant of Judah. Thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “If you really set your mind to enter Egypt and go in to reside there, 16 then the sword, which you are afraid of, will overtake you there in the land of Egypt; and the famine, about which you are anxious, will follow closely after you there in Egypt, and you will die there. 17 “So all the men who set their mind to go to Egypt to reside there will die by the sword, by famine and by pestilence; and they will have no survivors or refugees from the calamity that I am going to bring on them.”’” 18 For thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “As My anger and wrath have been poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so My wrath will be poured out on you when you enter Egypt. And you will become a curse, an object of horror, an imprecation and a reproach; and you will see this place no more.”[NASB]

Jeremiah

44:2-11

2 “Thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, ‘You yourselves have seen all the calamity that I have brought on Jerusalem and all the cities of Judah; and behold, this day they are in ruins and no one lives in them, 3 because of their wickedness which they committed so as to provoke Me to anger by continuing to burn sacrifices and to serve other gods whom they had not known, neither they, you, nor your fathers. 4 ‘Yet I sent you all My servants the prophets, again and again, saying, “Oh, do not do this abominable thing which I hate.” 5 ‘But they did not listen or incline their ears to turn from their wickedness, so as not to burn sacrifices to other gods. 6 ‘Therefore My wrath and My anger were poured out and burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, so they have become a ruin and a desolation as it is this day. 7 ‘Now then thus says YHVH Elohimof hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “Why are you doing great harm to yourselves, so as to cut off from you man and woman, child and infant, from among Judah, leaving yourselves without remnant, 8 provoking Me to anger with the works of your hands, burning sacrifices to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you are entering to reside, so that you might be cut off and become a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth? 9 “Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 10 “But they have not become contrite even to this day, nor have they feared nor walked in My law or My statutes, which I have set before you and before your fathers.”’ 11“ Therefore thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, ‘Behold, I am going to set My face against you for woe, even to cut off all Judah.[NASB]

Jeremiah

44:22-29

22 “So YHVH was no longer able to endure it, because of the evil of your deeds, because of the abominations which you have committed; thus your land has become a ruin, an object of horror and a curse, without an inhabitant, as it is this day. 23 “Because you have burned sacrifices and have sinned against YHVH and not obeyed the voice of YHVH or walked in His law, His statutes or His testimonies, therefore this calamity has befallen you, as it has this day.” 24 Then Jeremiah said to all the people, including all the women, “Hear the word of YHVH, all Judah who are in the land of Egypt, 25 thus says YHVH of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, as follows: ‘As for you and your wives, you have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled it with your hands, saying, “We will certainly perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her.” Go ahead and confirm your vows, and certainly perform your vows!’ 26 “Nevertheless hear the word of YHVH, all Judah who are living in the land of Egypt, ‘Behold, I have sworn by My great name,’ says YHVH, ‘never shall My name be invoked again by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, “As YHVH Elohim lives.” 27 ‘Behold, I am watching over them for harm and not for good, and all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt will meet their end by the sword and by famine until they  are completely gone. 28 ‘Those who escape the sword will return out of the land of Egypt to the land of Judah few in number. Then all the remnant of Judah who have gone to the land of Egypt to reside there will know whose word will stand, Mine or theirs. 29 ‘This will be the sign to you,’ declares YHVH, ‘that I am going to punish you in this place, so that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for harm.’[NASB]

Jeremiah

45:5

5 ‘But you, are you seeking great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I am going to bring disaster on all flesh,’ declares YHVH, ‘but I will give your life to you as booty in all the places where you may go.’”[NASB]

Jeremiah

49:37

37 ‘So I will shatter Elam before their enemies and before those who seek their lives; and I will bring calamity upon them, even My fierce anger,’ declares YHVH, ‘and I will send out the sword after them until I have consumed them.[NASB]

Jeremiah

51:1-2

1 Thus says YHVH:“Behold, I am going to arouse against Babylon and against the inhabitants of  Leb-kamai the spirit of a destroyer. 2 “I will dispatch foreigners to Babylon that they may winnow her and may devastate her land; for on every side they will be opposed to her in the day of her calamity.[NASB]

Jeremiah

51:63-64

63 “And as soon as you finish reading this scroll, you will tie a stone to it and throw it into the middle of the Euphrates, 64 and say, ‘Just so shall Babylon sink down and not rise again because of the calamity that I am going to bring upon her; and they will become exhausted.’” Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.[NASB]

Ezekiel

5:16-17

16 ‘When I send against them the deadly arrows of famine which were for the destruction of those whom I will send to destroy you, then I will also intensify the famine upon you and break the staff of bread. 17 ‘Moreover, I will send on you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you of children; plague and bloodshed also will pass through you, and I will bring the sword on you. I, YHVH, have spoken.’”[NASB]

Ezekiel

6:9-11

9 “Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations to which they will be carried captive, how I have been hurt by their adulterous hearts which turned away from Me, and by their eyes which played the harlot after their idols; and they will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed, for all their abominations. 10 “Then they will know that I am YHVH; I have not said in vain that I would inflict this disaster on them.”’ 11 “Thus says YHVH Elohim, ‘Clap your hand, stamp your foot and say, “Alas, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, which will fall by sword, famine and plague![NASB]

Ezekiel

7:24

24 ‘Therefore, I will bring the worst of the nations, and they will possess their houses. I will also make the pride of the strong ones cease, and their holy places will be profaned. [NASB]

Ezekiel

14:19-23

19 “Or if I should send a plague against that country and pour out My wrath in blood on it to cut off man and beast from it, 20 even though Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, as I live,” declares YHVH Elohim, “they could not deliver either their son or their daughter. They would deliver only themselves by their righteousness.” 21 For thus says YHVH Elohim, “How much more when I send My four severe judgments against Jerusalem: sword, famine, wild beasts and plague to cut off man and beast from it! 22 “Yet, behold, survivors will be left in it who will be brought out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they are going to come forth to you and you will see their conduct and actions; then you will be comforted for the calamity which I have brought against Jerusalem for everything which I have brought upon it. 23 “Then they will comfort you when you see their conduct and actions, for you will know that I have not done in vain whatever I did to it,” declares YHVH Elohim.[NASB]

Ezekiel

16:59

59 For thus says YHVH Elohim, “I will also do with you as you have done, you who have despised the oath by breaking the covenant.[NASB]

Ezekiel

20:24-26

24 because they had not observed My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My sabbaths, and their eyes were on the idols of their fathers. 25 “I also gave them statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they could not live; 26 and I pronounced them unclean because of their gifts, in that they caused all their firstborn to pass through the fire so that I might make them desolate, in order that they might know that I am YHVH.”’[NASB]

Ezekiel

22:18-22

18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; all of them are bronze and tin and iron and lead in the furnace; they are the dross of silver. 19 “Therefore, thus says YHVH Elohim, ‘Because all of you have become dross, therefore, behold, I am going to gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20 ‘As they gather silver and bronze and iron and lead and tin into the furnace to blow fire on it in order to melt it, so I will gather you in My anger and in My wrath and I will lay you there and melt you. 21 ‘I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you will be melted in the midst of it. 22 ‘As silver is melted in the furnace, so you will be melted in the midst of it; and you will know that I, YHVH, have poured out My wrath on you.’”[NASB]

Ezekiel

23:8-9

8 “She did not forsake her harlotries from the time in Egypt; for in her youth men had lain with her, and they handled her virgin bosom and poured out their lust on her. 9 “Therefore, I gave her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, after whom she lusted.[NASB]

Ezekiel

23:22-29

22“Therefore, O Oholibah, thus says YHVH Elohim, ‘Behold I will arouse your lovers against you, from whom you were alienated, and I will bring them against you from every side: 23 the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them; desirable young men, governors and officials all of them, officers and men of renown, all of them riding on horses. 24‘They will come against you with weapons, chariots and wagons, and with a company of peoples. They will set themselves against you on every side with buckler and shield and helmet; and I will commit the judgment to them, and they will judge you according to their customs. 25 ‘I will set My jealousy against you, that they may deal with you in wrath. They will remove your nose and your ears; and your survivors will fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters; and your survivors will be consumed by the fire. 26 ‘They will also strip you of your clothes and take away your beautiful jewels. :27 ‘Thus I will make your lewdness and your harlotry brought from the land of Egypt to cease from you, so that you will not lift up your eyes to them or remember Egypt anymore.’ 28 “For thus says YHVH Elohim, ‘Behold, I will give you into the hand of those whom you hate, into the hand of those from whom you were alienated. 29 ‘They will deal with you in hatred, take all your property, and leave you naked and bare. And the nakedness of your harlotries will be uncovered, both your lewdness and your harlotries. [NASB]

Ezekiel

28:17-19

17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor.I cast you to the ground; I put you before kings, that they may see you. 18 “By the multitude of your iniquities,In the unrighteousness of your trade you profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought fire from the midst of you;It has consumed you,And I have turned you to ashes on the earth in the eyes of all who see you. 19 “All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have become terrified and you will cease to be forever.”’” [NASB]

Hosea

9:11-17

11 As for Ephraim, their glory will fly away like a bird—No birth, no pregnancy and no conception! 12 Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them until not a man is left. Yes, woe to them indeed when I depart from them! 13 Ephraim, as I have seen,Is planted in a pleasant meadow like Tyre; but Ephraim will bring out his children for slaughter. 14 Give them, O YHVH—what will You give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. 15 All their evil is at Gilgal; Indeed, I came to hate them there!Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will love them no more; all their princes are rebels. 16 Ephraim is stricken, their root is dried up,They will bear no fruit. Even though they bear children,I will slay the precious ones of their womb. 17 My Elohim will cast them away because they have not listened to Him; and they will be wanderers among the nations. [NASB]

Hosea

10:14

14 Therefore a tumult will arise among your people, and all your fortresses will be destroyed, as Shalman destroyed Beth-arbel on the day of battle, when mothers were dashed in pieces with their children.[NASB]

Amos

3:1-7

1 Hear this word which YHVH has spoken against you, sons of Israel, against the entire family which He brought up from the land of Egypt: 2 “You only have I chosen among all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.” 3 Do two men walk together unless they have made an appointment? 4 Does a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Does a young lion growl from his den unless he has captured something? 5 Does a bird fall into a trap on the ground when there is no bait in it?Does a trap spring up from the earth when it captures nothing at all? 6 If a trumpet is blown in a city will not the people tremble? If a calamity occurs in a city has not YHVH done it? 7 Surely YHVH Elohim does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.[NASB]

Amos

4:7-12

7 “Furthermore, I withheld the rain from you while there were still three months until harvest. Then I would send rain on one city and on another city I would not send rain; One part would be rained on,While the part not rained on would dry up. 8 “So two or three cities would stagger to another city to drink water, but would not be satisfied; yet you have not returned to Me,” declares YHVH. 9 “I smote you with scorching w ind and mildew; and the caterpillar was devouring your many gardens and vineyards, fig trees and olive trees; yet you have not returned to Me,” declares YHVH. 10 “I sent a plague among you after the manner of Egypt; I slew your young men by the sword along with your captured horses, and I made the stench of your camp rise up in your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me,” declares the LORD. Amo 4:11“I overthrew you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,And you were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze;Yet you have not returned to Me,” declares the LORD. Amo 4:12“Therefore thus I will do to you, O Israel;Because I will do this to you,Prepare to meet your God, O Israel.”[NASB]

Micah

1:12

For the inhabitant of Maroth becomes weak waiting for good, because a calamity has come down from YHVH

to the gate of Jerusalem.[NASB]

12 “It will come about at that time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will punish the men who are stagnant in spirit, who say in their hearts,

‘YHVH will not do good or evil!’[NASB]

Zechariah

8:14-15

“For thus says YHVH of hosts, ‘Just as I purposed to do harm to you when your fathers provoked Me to wrath,’ says YHVH of hosts, ‘and I have not relented, 15 so I have again purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear![NASB]

[NASB]

Deuteronomy

30:15-19

15 “See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; 16 in that I command you today to love YHVH your Elohim, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that YHVH your Elohim may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it. 17 “But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it. 19 “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.
