*faith* what is it?

we say:”i have faith!” let’s see if we have it.

ma`asei (acts)‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭ and the word of elohiym spread, and the number of the taught ones increased greatly in yerushalayim, and a great many of *the priests* were obedient to *the belief*

this is a very interesting verse from the messiah’s era and it says that many of the priests were obedient to *the belief (faith)*, which then also actually is saying that they did not had this *faith.* they did not believe in the words (torah/law) of yhwh, and therefore did not had *faith*. they came to *faith* and become part of the community of the inheritance through *grace* and *wisdom* that is the torah of yhwh.

yirmeyahu (yeremiah)‬ ‭7:28‬ ‭ but you shall say to them, ‘this is a nation that did not obey the voice of יהוה their elohiym, nor did they accept instruction. *truth (faith)* has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.”

deḇarim (deuteronomy)‬ ‭32:20‬ ‭ and he said, ‘let me hide my face from them, let me see what their end is, for they are a perverse generation, children in whom there is no *trusting (faith)*

so, to have *faith* is to be obedient to the words (torah) of yhwh. they had no *faith*, they were without *faith*. without the torah of yhwh you are without *faith*. 

we can say we have *faith* but if we do not obey the torah of yhwh, that which moshe taught yashar’el, and which messiah taught us, then we have *no faith*. we only have *faith* when we listen to and do the torah of yhwh.

*faith – emunah* – firmness, something or someone that is firm in their action. through translation the true meaning of the hebrew word *emunah* that is translated to *faith* is lost and brings through the idee that someone with *faith* is someone that knows that yhwh exists or that he will act on your behalf; whereas the true meaning is that the one with *emunah – faith*, will act with firmness towards yhwh’s will (words/spirit/ torah).
