*grace* what is it?
so many say that we are not under the law (torah) of yhwh anymore and that we are now standing under grace. let’s see what yhwh’s word say about this.
ma`asei (acts) 20:32 and now, brothers, i commit you to elohiym and to *the word of his favour, (grace)* which is able to build you up and give you *an inheritance* among all those having been *set apart.*”
we find the following concepts in acts 20:32

the hebrew word for grace is chen (chet, nun)
acts 20:32…the word of his favour(grace)…
proverbs 4:1-9 children, listen to the discipline of a father, and give attention to know understanding; for i gave you good instruction: do not forsake my torah. for i was my father’s son, tender and the only one in the eyes of my mother, then he taught me and said to me, let your heart hold fast my words; guard my commands, and live. get wisdom! get understanding! do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. do not leave her, (wisdom) and let her guard you; love her, and let her watch over you. the beginning of wisdom is: get wisdom! and with all your getting, get understanding. exalt her, and let her uplift you; she brings you esteem when you embrace her. she gives your head a fair wreath, (chen – grace) she shields you with an adorning crown.”
we know that the torah is wisdom, and so it is also called grace in the above.
deḇarim (deuteronomy) 4:6 and you shall *guard and do them, for this is your wisdom* and your understanding before the eyes of the peoples who hear all these laws, and they shall say, ‘only a *wise* and understanding people is this great nation!’ ”
when we here and do (shama) yhwh’s torah (teachings), then shall his wisdom give us chen (grace), only then.
acts 20:32…*give you an inheritance* what is this inheritance?
deḇarim (deuteronomy) 33:2-4 and he said, “יהוה came from sinai, and rose from sĕ‛ir for them. he shone forth from mount paran, and came with ten thousands of set-apart ones – at his right hand a law of fire for them. indeed, he loves the peoples, all his set-apart ones are in your hand. and they, they sat down at your feet, receiving your words. mosheh commanded us a *torah, an inheritance* of the assembly of ya‛aqoḇ.
the torah is called, *torah, an inheritance*…so, if we want to share in the assembly of ya’aqob, and if we want to have an inheritance with yashar’el, then we absolutely have to follow the teachings of the torah and absolutely have to do them!
acts 20:32…*having been set-apart* what does it mean to be set-apart (holy)?
deḇarim (deuteronomy) 28:9
יהוה does establish you as a *set-apart people* to himself, as he has sworn to you, *if* you guard the commands of יהוהyour elohiym and walk in his ways.”
now what did we see in yes 2:2-3 “and it shall be in the latter days that the mountain of the house of יהוה is established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills. and all nations shall flow to it. and many peoples shall come and say, “come, and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה, to the house of the elohiym of ya‛aqoḇ, and *let him teach us his ways*, and let us *walk in his paths,* for out of tsiyon comes forth the *torah*, and the *word of יהוה* from yerushalayim.
yhwh’s words (torah) once we listen and do them, it makes of us a set-apart people.
yoḥanan (john) 17:17 set them apart in your truth – your word is truth.”
tehillim (psalms) 119:142 your righteousness is righteousness forever, and your torah is truth.”
so the three concepts of acts 20:32, grace, inheritance and set-apartness, has everything to do with to hear and do (shema) yhwh’s torah.
