*do and hear* what is it?

shemoth (exodus)‬ ‭24:7‬ ‭“and he took the book of the covenant and read in the hearing of the people. and they said, “all that יהוה has spoken we shall do, and obey.””

deḇarim (deuteronomy)‬ ‭30:11-13‬ ‭““for this command which i am commanding you today, it is not too hard for you, nor is it far off. “it is not in the heavens, to say, ‘who shall ascend into the heavens for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, so that we do it?’ nor is it beyond the sea, to say, ‘who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, so that we do it?’ ””

the scriptures (tanakh) say: hear and do/shema and be obedient (do it!!!)

ya‛aqoḇ (james)‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭“therefore put away all filthiness and overflow of evil, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your lives.”

luqas (luke)‬ ‭11:21‬ ““when a strong man, having been well armed, watches over his own court, his possessions are in peace.”

luqas (luke)‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭“but he said, “blessed rather are those hearing the word of elohiym and watching over it!””

if we say we are doing the torah/laws/words, we have heard it, but we are not doing it, then we are a witness against ourselves.
