*freedom* what is it?

so many people want freedom, but do they really know what it means?

the hebrew word is רָחָב (resh chet vet- rechov)

rechov – wide, open, broad, expansive, liberation, freedom, a wide space, extensive, enlarged, to spread out

tehillim (psalms)‬ ‭119:42-45‬ ‭ so that i answer my reprover, for i have trusted in your word. and do not take away from my mouth the word of truth entirely, for i have waited for your right-rulings; that i might guard your torah continually, forever and ever; *that i might walk in a broad place (rechov)*, for i have sought your orders;”

dani’ĕl (daniel)‬ ‭9:13‬ ‭ as it is written in the torah of mosheh, all this evil has come upon us, and we have not entreated the face of יהוה our elohim, to turn back from our crookednesses, and to study your truth.”

here we read dani’el’s prayer and confession that yashar’el did not walk in yhwh’s ways and end up as captives, the opposite of freedom.

yoḥanan (john)‬ ‭8:31‬-32 so יהושע said to those yehuḏim who believed him, “if you *stay in my word*, you are truly my taught ones,” “and you shall know the truth, and *the truth shall make you free.*”

‭‭ya‛aqoḇ (james)‬ ‭1:23-25‬ ‭ because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror, for he looks at himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what he was like. but he that looked into *the perfect torah, that of freedom,* and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing of the torah.”

shemoth (exodus)‬ ‭24:7‬ ‭ and he took the book of the covenant and read in the hearing of the people. and they said, “all that יהוה has spoken we shall do, and obey.””

‭‭

ya‛aqoḇ (james)‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭ so speak and so do as those who are to be judged by a *torah of freedom.*

galatiyim (galatians)‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭ *in the freedom with which messiah has made us free, stand firm,* then, and do not again be held with a yoke of slavery.”

so, as per ya’acob and galations the torah of yhwh is freedom and not slavery.

now let’s look at sha’uls words in galations 5:1 in the *freedom* with which messiah has made us *free*, stand firm,* then, and do not again be held with a yoke of slavery

against what:

  1. messiah said: the truth (torah) will set you free
  2. ya’acob said: the perfect torah, the torah of freedom
  3. ya’acob also said: the torah of freedom

so, sha’ul, ya’acob and the messiah agrees that the torah is freedom.

so, the torah that yhwh teached moshé, which moshé read and teach’d, that was again 40 years later through yoshua carried over to the next generation when they entered into the promised land, that was also repeatedly carried over by yhwh’s messengers and prophets each time yashar’el fell back, which messiah in his time through his life illustrated to all, *yes all that torah/laws, is called freedom!!!*
